Had a hellish day with the sproglies today, as expected after 2 days at nursery and a late night. I wanted to go and see the Made In Whitstable exhibition tonight at Horsebridge, so thought a change from the usual regimented routine might be just what the doctor ordered. The exhibition was brilliant and incredibly busy, so pleased I went. Both of the sproglies were happy, as they go ice cream on the beach. I got to grab a few images too, hopefully meaning that my 365 was not as shonky as it has been a fair bit this week! What a mess they were though. How did people cope before baby wipes?!

I am exhibiting in the Whitstable Horsebridge A1 Exhibition again this year. For those who don’t know what this is, it is an exhibition that is open to all artists to show work, any work, as long as it is A1 (840mm x 598mm) in size. I enjoyed participating in this last year, because the variety in the exhibition is stunning and makes a great show from a visitor point of view. They don’t allow artists to exhibit the same work year after year, so it never gets stale either. The show runs from July 16th to August 1st, so if you are in Whitstable, or planning to be during this time, be sure to pop along. Entry, as always to the exhibitions, is free. Here are my 2 entries for this year.

Still killing jobs left right and centre at the moment. Finally got images complete and uploaded for printing at about 1am this morning. This meant I am battling tiredness on about 4.5 hours sleep and still trying to get through the backlog of work that has built up. No rest for the wicked. Also had my youngest neice’s birthday to celebrate, so kids had a late night after a day at nursery. Tomorrow will be hellish!

Hectic day, got an stunning amount of little tasks completed and things that have been angging on my to do list for a while, however, 365 was not one of them. Consequently, the only images I have to share are from my neice’s school production. Here is just a single shot from the closing scene.

I’m taking part in this years Whitstable Horsebridge A1 Exhibition this year. As always I’m cutting things fine with finishing the new work for the exhibition. I have one piece finished and am busily working away on piece two. As my day was taken up with this (thanks to mum looking after the kids) and doing some shop photography for a client this evening, I was out of time to do anything other than take a photo of a sneak peek fo the illustration. Local Whitstable residents may be able to determine where the scene is. Far from finished yet though. Argh.

Rather happily enjoying a splash on the pool, when this thirsty little bird decided that the pool was the best place to try and get a drink of water. Despite best efforts to lure it with containers of water, it was still determined to try and get in the big puddle. Determined enough that I had time to go a grab my camera and take some images of it’s attempts. Finally we decided the best way was to run a hose of water to see if that would attract it away fro the pool. This, thankfully, eventually worked.

Still having an absolute hoot with friends, didn’t feel like taking the camera along today. Trip to Broadstairs and briefly Ramsgate. Visitors impressions: Broadstairs is full of people with lots of tattoos, Ramsgate looked pleasant though. Admittedly we were near the beach in Broadstairs so lots of people with very little on. Hmm saying that, that probably didn’t help either. I’ll be quiet now.

Hmmm, half way. This should have been a momentous image, instead it is not. Sorry. Was planning to take something, then fell asleep on the sofa, woke up with 20 minutes to spare and bleary eyed.

On the road to recovery and in dire need to get some base photographs done for a new illustration I am working on for the Whitstable Horsebridge A1 Exhibition, I had to take images of leaves. So here they are.

No chance of being bothered to lift the real camera today, not even to the garden. Instead I bless you with this. My get well picture from my daughter and no, I don’t have a willy, that is how she likes to represent lady parts, or a waa-waa as it is called in this house.
